The plants have grown fast and I can’t send them anymore. I still have a few in the nursery Tea Gardens.
This fruit is yummy, aromatic to the max, sweet and acidic. The best is, it starts fruiting in 10-12 months, but is not very long-lived. Naranjilla which means little orange needs a frost-free location and prefers partial shade and shelter from strong winds. Good drainage and regular water is essential. The plant is spiky which keeps critters away. Naranjilla looks very ornamental and grows to around 2.5 meters.
