This is the bigger cousin of the well known kitchen herb salad burnet with the same medicinal and culinary uses but stronger.
Part shade to full sun this herb is very easy to grow but looks better if cut back after flowering. It is frost hardy and can cope with heavy clay soils.
The leaves have a cucumber like flavour and are used fresh in salads.
