Davidson plum is a very ornamental slender tree, suitable for tight spaces. As a rainforest tree, it thrives in part-shade.

It prefers moist fertile soils but is tolerant to poorer soil, the area should be frost-free and protected from strong wind and scorching sun.

Davidson plum does not like waterlogged hard clays.

To harvest Davidson plum, simply shake the trunk and the ripe fruit falls down.
