Description

Wormwood is a perennial, herbaceous cold hardy plant, that likes dry poor soils in a sunny position.

It is one of the ingredients in absinthe but artemisia pontica is another wormwood used in absinthe.

Wormwood is good to repel insects and mice and is ideally planted around the chook pen.

Some herbalists use wormwood for Crohn’s disease, malaria, pain, arthritis and parasites. Ask your herbalist, because it also thins the the blood and contains thujone which can cause kidney failure.
