I remember the citronella geranium as a common houseplant in the 80’s. It is really a delightful plant, and I rub the leaves on my skin to keep mozzies away with mixed success. Citronella geranium can be used in sweet dishes, deserts, cakes, drinks and teas. The leaves are coarse and removed.
Scented geraniums grow well in sun or semi-shade are vigorous to 1 m and prefer well-drained soil. citronella geranium may survive a light frost, but is better taken indoors in frosty areas.
