Lemon savory has a strong scent and taste and grows well in rockeries, pots or the sunny border. It can be clipped as a border plant in a more formal garden. It is native to the Apeninne mountains of Italy.
This savory prefers full sun and dry soils. While summer savory is annual lemon savory is a perennial plant.
Lemon savory blends nicely with basil, thyme, sage and bay. It goes well with meat, poultry and especially beans. Add at the end of cooking.
