Nice groundcover or spillover plant with small edible berries and edible leaves with a strong taste. The low-growing plant spreads to about a metre. It likes sun to semi-shade and looks great in a rockery and likes dryish soils. The plant is tolerant to frost, saline soils and drought resistant once established. Fruit can be eaten raw, leaves taste better cooked.
