I’ve never used that herb but according to Chinese medicine, I might get rid of my glasses, my husband would actually hear me and not forget where he put things. It is a cute little plant very suitable for a pot or an indoor wetland.
It likes to be in permanent boggy soil. Acorus grammineus can also be planted in a basket in a pond.
It is hardy in all parts of Australia.
There are many more medicinal uses than the ones mentioned above.
This is the plain green version not the variegated cultivar sold at most nurseries.
Do not plant acorus in or near waterways!
