Description
According to Chinese medicine, acorus grammineus is thought to improve memory, eyesight and hearing.
This plant is cute and small, but very tough, decorative and fits in the smallest garden, a balcony or even on a windowsill.
Because it likes boggy conditions, it doesn’t have to be watered every day.
Acorus grammineus can also be planted in a basket in a pond.
It is hardy in all parts of Australia.
There are many more medicinal uses than the ones mentioned above.
We grow the plain green version used in TCM, not the variegated cultivar sold at most nurseries.
Do not plant acorus in or near waterways!
