This is another new plant for us, so we can’t tell how nice that one tastes! it is a fibre plant but the young leaves are eaten as a potherb, they are acid like sorrel. The seeds are also eaten and can be pressed for oil.
It is an annual, biennial or short- lived perennial plant growing to 1.8 meters. Kenaf is frost tender and likes a dunny position.
Kenaf prefers well-drained soil in full sun.
This plant is now too big to ship and can only be purchased at the nursery!
