Bush Basil, Native Basil, Plectranthus graveolens

Sorry, I can’t send to WA, TAS or NT!

Native herb for the Mediteranean kitchen.

$14.95

Out of stock

Very tough, fast growing plant, suitable for the most brown-fingered gardener. It grows to 1.5 m high and 2 m wide but can be pruned severely.

Bush basil thrives in sun or part shade, in sandy soil, poor soil, even in a pot!

Although unrelated with basil or any of he Mediterranean plants, it pairs well with garlic, tomatoes or pizza. The strong aroma is somewhere between oregano, sage and mint.

Bush basil was traditionally used as a medicinal and ceremonial herb.

Other names: Native Coleus, Mountain plectranthus, Sticky Cockspur
