Very tough, fast growing plant, suitable for the most brown-fingered gardener. It grows to 1.5 m high and 2 m wide but can be pruned severely.
Bush basil thrives in sun or part shade, in sandy soil, poor soil, even in a pot!
Although unrelated with basil or any of he Mediterranean plants, it pairs well with garlic, tomatoes or pizza. The strong aroma is somewhere between oregano, sage and mint.
Bush basil was traditionally used as a medicinal and ceremonial herb.
